"They showed me how to live, taught me things... ". So this is how I imagine growing up among the killjoys looked like. Kobra Kid playing with the Girl outside... I think they were playing with some fireworks in the evening as well... I love fireworks Listening to S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W/ while doing this.
The idea came after reading The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys comic written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon with art by Becky Cloonan.
I really love the atmosphere in this drawing! It totally feels like dusk. The background and the sky are very well done.^^ Oh, so I seem to notice that all of the Killjoys seems to be nursing recent wounds. And also that the Girl is getting a little bigger as the drawings progress.^^ No OJ or Rainbow in this picture!XD So, have you ever though about maybe sending this set of drawings to the guys? They're so well done and have got so much detail, story, and character put into them. I'm sure Gee would love the see them.^^
Hey thanks for everything The sky and the dirt are Becky's fault, I'm not as good at coloring as she's so I couldn't take a chance at messing that up... I'm actually trying to pick a few tricks from her, and she's three years younger than me! Great, now I'm embarrassed... Well yea, I imagine them on the run in the desert most of the time, injuries tend to happen... I wanted to show her growing up in this utterly unfitting environment, and still having an awesome childhood thanks to these four frivolous parent substitutes. Shows that if someone cares enough for you, nothing else really matters... No OJ but the Map's lying on the ground, on the right under the yellow TNT. I'm pretty sure non of them would actually care, and I doubt they'd like to be reminded of MCR anymore, they've moved on... Plus I've no way or guts for sending these, the only social network I'm on is DA...
You're very welcome! Ahh, I see about the sky and dirt. She did a really good job on them. They're a big part of the setting and atmosphere of the drawing. Hey, no shame in picking up tricks from someone younger than you! I've got a brother three years younger than me and I sometimes have to ask him for help with math.XD I like your explanation about wanting to show The Girl growing up in an unsuitable environment. Aha! I see the map now. Oh, don't say none of them would care, don't put yourself down like that. I can see your point about them having moved on from MCR. But I think that they would be happy to know that their work has inspired a young artist!
